Ways to Practice
The practice is ordinary life
Simply Christian Fellowship is online for now, so there are no meetings to attend and no place you have to be. This faith isn’t meant to live inside an event. It lives in ordinary days and small choices.
Here are simple, self-directed ways to live out Christ’s teachings, wherever you are, whenever you can. No calendar, no sign-up, no place required. Choose one today.
Feed someone who is hungry
Buy a meal for a person who needs one, give to a food bank, or share what is in your kitchen. “I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.”
Forgive someone
Let go of a grudge you have been carrying. Forgive without limit, as Christ taught, even when it isn’t deserved and even when it is only for your own peace.
Sit with the lonely
Call the person no one calls. Visit someone who is alone. Presence is one of the kindest and simplest gifts you can offer.
Give quietly
Help someone without letting anyone know it was you. Let the act be its own reward, the way Jesus asked us to give in secret.
Speak gently
Bless those who are hard to bless. Choose kind words over being right. A soft answer can change someone’s whole day.
Welcome the stranger
Make room for the person others overlook. Everyone belongs at the table. That was true of every table Jesus sat at.
Serve without reward
Do a good thing that no one will thank you for. Serve as Christ served, expecting nothing back.
Rest and reflect
Read the words of Jesus slowly. Sit quietly. Let compassion settle into you before you carry it back out into the world.
“Faith without works is lost. We are simply Christians by living out Christ’s teachings in the way we love, serve, and care for others.”
